Overview
Pathways by Little Black Buddha is an IOS mobile app that guides users through a gamified journey of self discovery.
I was contracted by LBB alongside a team of UX designers to design the product. Additionally, I independently crafted their brand and all accompanying illustration / visual design.
Achievements
Users earn badges as they navigate through Pathways. Badges are earned through the completion of exercises, by advancing levels, developing activity 'streaks', and more. When a badge is earned, users can share their achievements to social media platforms.
Map & Exercises
Users advance through Pathways by completing levels on the illustrated map. Each new area is full of a variety of exercises - from guided meditation and introspection to situational tests that pair them with potential careers. Weaving through biomes, they adventure forests, oceans, and mountains until they find themselves back in society with their new-found 'super powers'.
Visual Design
Pathways was given an approachable, friendly visual theme to keep the content approachable and friendly. Soft, playful colors combined with illustration gave users a delightful, engaging experience. Using a diamond shape in the logo is a nod to navigation and cardinal direction.
